Join us for Clam Camp
We’ll be harvesting the Pacific Razor Clam, learning all about clam anatomy + life cycle+ clam cleaning + instruction in clam culinary dishes + clam pressure canning.
During the Fall harvesting camp, the Autumnal coastal foraging abundance will also include instruction in fall fungi, wild harvesting cranberries, surf perch fishing, seaweed salvaging, sea salt making, Dungeness crab catching, as well as an all camp favorite, oystering on the Willapa Bay. Opportunities to include a deer and elk hunt satellite camp are currently in development as our Fall Clam Camp dates overlap with deer and elk season within the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge
In the Spring harvest season, we’ll be focusing on harvesting of the pacific razor clam, invasive European green crab mitigation efforts in Willapa Bay, oyster bed stewardship, and hand craft.
